BIND SME is currently open for startups and scale ups interested in accessing market validation and paid clients in the Basque Advanced Industrial & Entrepreneurial ecosystem.

With this free startup initiative, the BIND Open Innovation Platform continues its successful model of connecting startups with local companies ready to collaborate on paid projects targeting specific Use Case Challenges.

BIND SME fosters the collaboration of SMEs and startups, which in its 3 editions so far has seen the development of 40 transformative projects. Participation in BIND SME is a direct entry into the market for startups through the development of real and paid projects with reference customers.

BIND SME STARTUP SUCCESS STORIES 

Among the startups participating in previous editions, there are many examples of success stories developed alongside Basque Industrial SMEs. For example, Immersia, a visual intelligence and 3D Visualization startup that developed a project together with local SME Dimeco. There is the France-based startup Hupi, which developed its Artificial Intelligence solutions with Lantek, leaders in sheet metal software solutions. Finally Kevo, a startup specialized in Artificial Intelligence and Speech and Language Technologies that participated with energy service providers Eldu. These three success stories illustrate the advantages for startups of participating in the BIND SME program.

 

18 BASQUE SMEs LEADING THE 2024 CALL FOR INNOVATION 

The eighteen SMEs participating in this edition of BIND SME, are leading companies in their sectors. Specifically, this year we have AAC Centro de Acústica Aplicada, specialized in the field of noise pollution and vibrations; A&B, biotechnology laboratories specialized in cleaning and maintenance; Agaleus, dedicated to the management of industrial waste; AJL Ophthalmic, specialized in the manufacture of medical devices for ophthalmology; Corsam, specialized in the installation of elevators and rehabilitation of buildings; Ecenarro, specialized in cold forming of machine parts; Eralki Engineering, experts in vibrating machinery; Frioport, a company providing temperature-controlled logistics storage services; Lezama Demoliciones, who carry out demolitions in industrial sectors; Limpiezas Nervión, a company for the elimination of hazardous waste; Loire Gestamp, a multinational company dedicated to the design, development and manufacture of automotive components; Loramendi, a company focused on the design and global supply of foundry solutions; Mecanizados Harri, dedicated to the machining of revolution of all types of series; Ojmar, a manufacturer of intelligent closures; Ona EDM, specialized in EDM in multiple sectors; Ondarreta, a furniture company; Tradebe, international leader in industrial waste recovery and recycling solutions; and Zikotz, specialized in construction and rehabilitation of buildings.

The 4th edition of BIND SME is open to startups and scale ups under 8 years old, legally constituted and with a minimum viable product developed.
